Do you ever feel so wound up and wired that you could just explode..cry or hide in a corner?
Trust me I have. And yano what I decided?
That I had made no time in my busy life were I just did something for ME 💓.
And why not? There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting some time to yourself. A time were you just focus on the most important thing in your life. You!
‘Me time’ is so precious to our overall health and wellbeing, it allows us to reconnect with who we are, it gives us that work/life balance we all talk about and most importantly it gives us time. Simply Time. So if you need it..your allowed to just do nothing but breathe and relax.
Now I’m not talking about making time to sit down and do up your ‘To Do’ list for the week, or to work out what bills are owing.
I’m talking about time spent doing what YOU LOVE!! 💗🙏
So how do I spend me time?
So top of my list is:
🌞 To spend 30 mins a day outside, I take my dog Milo for a walk after work 🐶🐾. (Connecting with nature is super important for me)
🌞 Attend pilates class once a week, this gives me a guaranteed 1hour out of the house doing something solely for me. I make it a Friday so after a week of flat out work, I lie down, breathe, stretch, relax my mind and make everything quiet. I find its a great way to finish the week! 🙏
🌞Read 3 chapters of my current book, I have this on my list because I forget to read! But I love it! It takes your mind to another world, makes you think outside the box and gives you more to talk about in your day to day life. It inspires you! 💫✨
🌞No TV! This would have to be my favourite! I do this when my partner hangs with the fellas on a Thursday night (also when I read my books). I light some candles, play some music and sit and enjoy the quiet. A lot of the time I will meditate. I love meditation 😊.
Thats just to give you an idea, it can seriously be anything. It’s just got to be something that benefits YOU though. No one else, ‘me time’ is all about nurturing and loving yourself.
I promise you, that once you get into habit of making time for yourself, you will feel amazing 😊! Those little things that once made you bubble on the inside, Won’t even make you flinch!
